A primary school in Bury is looking for a caring SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with multiple additional needs throughout their school day. This is a nurturing, care-focused role for someone who wants to build a trusting relationship with a child who needs consistency and kindness.

The Role
You will be the pupil''s dedicated 1:1 support from arrival to home time, helping them feel safe, settled and able to take part in school life.

  • Provide 1:1 support throughout the whole school day
  • Build a strong, trusting relationship with the pupil
  • Support routines, communication and emotional wellbeing
  • Help the pupil access learning at their own pace
  • Follow care plans, working closely with teachers, the SENCO and families
  • Celebrate small steps of progress

We''re Looking For

  • Experience supporting others, such as in a TA, LSA, support worker, care, youth work or volunteering role
  • Psychology, education, childcare or health and social care backgrounds are very welcome
  • A calm, kind and dependable approach
  • The ability to stay patient and positive in challenging moments

Prior SEN experience isn''t essential. Your kindness and commitment matter just as much, and you will be fully supported from day one.
