Teaching Assistant - The Guildhall School, Burton on Trent Location: 5-minute walk from Burton Train Station Salary: £23,000-£24,000 per year (depending on experience, not pro rata) Hours: Full-time, 8:30am - 4:00pm, Term Time Start Date: April 2026 Contract: Permanent Role We are excited to recruit Teaching Assistants for The Guildhall School, a brand-new, purpose-built special school opening in April 2026. This innovative P/MLD school will provide education for up to 40 pupils aged 7-18 with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (P/MLD), all of whom require 1:1 support. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping our students thrive academically, emotionally, and socially. You''ll work closely with teachers and therapists to deliver tailored lessons, interventions, and support, helping students develop communication, independence, sensory learning, life skills, and functional literacy and numeracy. This role is ideal for individuals who are flexible, resilient, and passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people with complex needs.
