Teaching Assistant - ASC Specialist

The Role We are seeking a caring, resilient, and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to provide targeted support to pupils aged 4 19 with Autism (ASC) and associated learning and communication needs. This role offers the chance to build meaningful relationships with students and support them in achieving their full potential academically, emotionally, and socially.As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will: Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with Autism, SLD, PMLD and complex needs. Assist with personal care, including toileting, feeding, and mobility support (hoists, moving and handling). Implement positive, proactive behaviour strategies to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour. Follow individualised education and behaviour plans. Promote communication, life skills and independence. Build strong, trusting relationships to support students emotional regulation and well-being. Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other staff to deliver a personalised and holistic learning experience.
