Teaching Assistant

Recruiting for a Teaching Assistant who can work across both KS1 & KS2 in a large primary school based in Romford.

Monday to Friday: 8.30am – 3.30pm (Term time only)

This is a rewarding opportunity in a supportive environment for a teaching assistant with experience across the primary ages to work across the mainstream classes and to also support the SEN students.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

• Provide learning support across both KS1 & KS2
• Support the children's individual learning as and where required
• Use learning aids to support children’s education
• Support with personal care, if required, and ensure safeguarding procedures are always followed.
• Assist in creating a calm, exciting and supportive learning environment.
• Experience supporting children with SEN in an educational, childcare or 
• Experience/knowledge of adapting and working with the national curriculum
• Ability to use visual communication systems ie PECS, Visual timetables and now/ next boards.
• Calm, patient and adaptable approach.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Experience of working in a class/education environment
• L2/L3 Teaching Assistant, Psychology or SEND qualification.
