Teaching Assistant

We are currently recruiting dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support a range of welcoming and inclusive primary schools across London. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children’s learning and development, and who are looking to gain valuable experience within a school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons
• Work with individual pupils or small groups to reinforce learning
• Assist in the preparation of classroom materials and resources
• Help create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
• Support pupils with varying needs, including those with additional learning requirements
• Encourage positive behaviour and assist with classroom management
• Supervise pupils during break times, school activities, and outings where required

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children (in a school or similar setting) is desirable
• A genuine passion for education and supporting young learners
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A patient, caring, and proactive approach
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

Desirable Skills:

• Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
• Knowledge of the UK primary curriculum
• Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent)
