Teaching Assistant

This popular primary school is looking to appoint a committed teaching assistant to start in September to work alongside their highly experienced and friendly team. This school is based in the South Leeds area and are a very friendly and inviting school who like to encourage all pupils. For the right person there is an opportunity to get a direct contract with school after 2 terms.

You will ideally be a committed and enthusiastic person who likes to support individuals and groups of children throughout school. You will be of a caring, patient and friendly nature; as well as being driven to succeed. You will work across key stage 1 and key stage 2 and will contribute to raising attainment and standards providing the best support for the pupils.

Suitable candidates will have previous experience working in a school setting with an understanding of the curriculum and be able to monitor the progress of pupils and give feedback. You will be confident in supporting the teacher and pupils in small groups, 1 to 1 as well as the whole class.

You will be aware of safeguarding and be able to follow school behaviour policies.
