Academics are seeking an experienced and engaging Teaching Assistant to join an SEN School in the New Forest area in between Brockenhurst and Lymington. This is a full-time, temporary to permanent contact starting ASAP. Working hours are 8.30am - 4.30pm Monday-Thursday and 8.30am - 4pm on a Friday. This is a term-time Teaching Assistant role. With the school being on the outskirts of Southampton, in the New Forest area, this role is suited to a driver, or someone who lives locally in Lymington or Brockenhurst. The SEN school caters for pupils aged 7-19 years who are diagnosed with aspergers syndrome and other associated needs on the autistic spectrum. You will be required to support pupils across the school in small groups and on a 1:1 basis. The suitable Teaching Assistant will have experience of supporting children with special educational needs, ideally within an SEN environment.
