Teaching Assistant

A vibrant and welcoming primary school in Worcester is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and energetic Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team as soon as possible. The school has fantastic facilities with lots of outdoor space with a range of sensory activities.

In this role, you will work closely with classroom teachers to support a pupil with additional learning needs in their Early Years. You will assist pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to help them access the curriculum, build confidence, and thrive in their educational environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs across EYFS

• Assist in adapting classroom resources and activities to suit individual learning plans (IEPs).

• Help foster an inclusive, safe, and positive learning environment.

• Support pupils with emotional regulation, social communication, and wellbeing.

• Work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists to monitor progress.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience: Prior experience supporting children with SEN in an educational or care setting is ideal, but not essential. We welcome applications from enthusiastic individuals with a passion for helping children succeed!

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to adapt quickly and work well as part of a team.

• Requirements:

  • A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.

  • An enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).

  • Right to work in the UK

The Teaching Assistant role is to start as soon as possible, 5 days a week on a temproary contract until Christmas initially but likely to run until the end of the academic year.

Salary will be determined by the successful candidate''s qualifications and relevant experience, and will be in accordance with the client''s pay policy.
