This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or someone with relevant experience supporting young people to develop their skills within a thriving secondary school environment.

The Role - Teaching Assistant (Sutton)

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting students across the school to access learning, build confidence, and make positive academic and personal progress.

Working closely with experienced teachers, you will support learning in the classroom, provide 1:1 and small-group support, and assist students with a range of learning needs. You may also be required to support targeted interventions and help students develop their confidence, independence, and engagement with learning.

Key Responsibilities

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support students on a 1:1, small-group, and whole-class basis
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and accessible lessons
• Provide targeted support to students who require additional assistance
• Support students with different abilities and learning needs
• Monitor and provide feedback on student progress and engagement
• Help prepare and adapt learning materials where required
• Promote positive behaviour and a focused learning environment
• Help build student confidence, resilience, and independence
• Work closely with teachers and other support staff to meet students'' needs

Working Pattern

• Full-time position
• September start
• Term-time only
• Based in Sutton, South London

Person Specification

We are looking for candidates who:

• Have previous experience working with children or young people, ideally within a school or educational setting
• Have experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or in a similar role
• Are confident communicators with strong interpersonal skills
• Are passionate about education and supporting young people
• Are patient, reliable, and proactive

Salary will be determined by the successful candidate''s qualifications and relevant experience, and will be in accordance with the client''s pay policy.
