Teaching Assistant - Portsmouth The role of a Teaching Assistant involves enabling young people to develop and make progress by providing physical, emotional and nurturing support during their school day as well as supporting the Teacher in your classroom. As a Teaching Assistant with Academics, you must be available Monday to Friday between 8.30am - 3.30pm. Many of our client schools need consistency in the classroom, this is why full time is the ideal scenario. You must have great communication skills in order to build relationships with both your students and the staff.
