Fancy a Teaching Assistant role with a big focus on sport, outdoor activities and practical learning?

Academics are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a specialist education setting in Chesham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone from a sports, coaching, PE or activity-based background who enjoys working with young people and wants to make a difference.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will support students both in the classroom and through a range of outdoor and practical activities. A large part of the role involves getting outside, encouraging students to take part in physical activities and helping them develop confidence, communication and social skills.

The role:

• Supporting students with their learning and development
• Getting involved in sports, outdoor activities and practical sessions
• Building positive relationships with young people
• Supporting behaviour, engagement and confidence
• Working alongside teachers and support staff
• Helping create a safe, positive and engaging environment

Who we''re looking for:

• Sports graduates, coaches, PE backgrounds or activity instructors are encouraged to apply
• Previous Teaching Assistant experience is beneficial but not essential
• Someone confident working outdoors and getting involved in activities
• A positive, patient and engaging approach
• Experience working with children or young people is desirable

This Teaching Assistant role would suit someone looking to transfer their sports or coaching experience into education, as well as experienced TAs looking for a more active role.

Rate: -100120 per day
