KS2 Teaching Assistant - Stafford - Start Date: Available to start after Easter.
We are recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 teaching assistant to join an excellent school in the picturesque market town of Stafford. Your duties will involve working alongside the class teacher to help in delivering stimulating and fulfilling lessons whilst also providing SEND support for individual pupils including those with an EHCP.
You will be joining a school that has been rated "Good" by Ofsted and working within a Christian Community with a caring, secure and discipline environment. The school has a happy and supportive family feel in which they have high academic standards for each and every child and are rooted with a commitment to success for all.
The Role includes:
- Working alongside the class teacher to deliver stimulating and fulfilling lessons to the older years of the school.
- Provide ongoing SEND support for individual pupils including those with an EHCP.
- Provide specific support to the teacher; whether that be supporting individual pupils or classroom management.
- Working well alongside colleagues, support staff and leadership.
What we are looking for:
- An experienced Teaching Assistant who shares the passion and drive for supporting pupils within the classroom.
- Holds NVQ Level 2 for Teaching Assistants (or above).
- Have high expectations of themselves and pupils; pushing the children to flourish within the class.
- Have a genuine passion for supporting pupils'' academic and personal development.
- Somebody who is able to jump straight in; able to build strong, trusting relationships with staff, pupils and parents.
- A brief understanding of the National Curriculum.
- You will be working on a temporary basis, supporting one of our partner schools supporting a KS2 class. This role will potentially be a longer-term role.
- Somebody who holds or is willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS.
Pay: -93 - -100 a day (dependent on experience) holiday pay is included in the day rate.
