Academics are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work within a specialist education setting in Chalfont St Giles. This could be a great opportunity for someone with a background in sports coaching, PE, fitness or outdoor activities who enjoys working with young people.

The Teaching Assistant will support students both inside and outside the classroom, with a strong focus on engagement through practical and physical activities. You will help students develop confidence, communication, teamwork and independence in a supportive environment.

The role:

• Supporting students with learning and development
• Taking part in sports and outdoor activities
• Supporting practical and activity-based learning
• Developing positive relationships with students
• Encouraging engagement and participation
• Supporting behaviour and emotional regulation
• Working closely with teachers and the wider support team

Who we''re looking for:

• Sports coaches, PE graduates and activity professionals are encouraged to apply
• Previous Teaching Assistant experience is desirable but not essential
• Someone who enjoys working outdoors and being active
• Patient, enthusiastic and confident working with young people
• Previous experience with children or young people is beneficial

This Teaching Assistant position is particularly suited to someone who wants to use their sports or coaching background within an educational setting.

Rate: -100120 per day
