Teaching Assistant

Academics Ltd, an established education recruitment agency based in Worcester, is proud to be working with an Outstanding primary school in the beautiful area of Malvern. We are currently recruiting a Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in Year 3 with autism on a one-to-one basis, starting in September 2026 or as soon as possible and continuing through to Christmas but could be for the full academic year.

This is a fantastic long-term opportunity to support a very engaging young child who is a pleasure to work with. As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide consistent, one-to-one support throughout the school day-helping them access learning, develop their confidence, and thrive in a structured and nurturing environment. You''ll be working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure the pupil receives tailored support that meets their needs.

Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally with children with autism or additional needs
• A calm, patient, and empathetic nature
• Confidence in delivering one-to-one support and adapting strategies as needed
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or school-based experience is advantageous
