Teaching Assistant - Reception (1:1 Support)Location: A Parbold Primary SchoolStart Date: September 2026Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:45am - 3:30pmPay Rate: £14.63 per hourAbout the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Ormskirk from September. This rewarding role involves providing 1:1 support to a reception aged pupil with ADHD who has SEND. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping the pupil access learning, develop positive relationships and achieve their full potential within the classroom environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide individual support to a reception-aged pupil. Encourage focus, engagement and participation in lessons.Support the pupil''s social, emotional and behavioural development.Use positive behaviour management strategies to promote a calm and productive learning environment.Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider school staff to ensure the pupil receives appropriate support.Build a positive and trusting relationship with the child whilst maintaining professional boundaries.Monitor progress and contribute to regular reviews and feedback.The Ideal Candidate Will Have:Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or in a similar educational setting.Experience supporting children with ADHD, SEND or additional learning needs.A calm, patient and nurturing approach.Confidence in managing challenging behaviour using positive and ..... full job details .....
