Overview
The Department of Psychology is seeking a Teaching and General Office Administrator to join our friendly professional services team within our supportive department, proactive in providing training and career development opportunities for all staff. The department is active in teaching and research in the School of the Biological Sciences, with approximately 200 academic, research, support staff and visitors, plus around 100 postgraduate students. The department is responsible for teaching approximately 280 undergraduate students on a range of courses. This role is key in providing the underpinning administrative support for our undergraduate education programmes; you will make an important contribution to the continued development of our teaching office.Responsibilities
Maintain course information and databases, acting as a key contact for students and staffOrganise teaching-related events and meetingsSupport online teaching resourcesProvide administrative support to other offices within the department to facilitate efficient operations, working with HR, Finance and GrantsWork closely with the Teaching Office Manager, Course Directors, and the Deputy Head of Department for Teaching; liaise with colleagues in the School of Biological Sciences, other teaching departments, and the University''s central officesQualifications and Requirements
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a good standard of written and spoken EnglishPrevious administrative experienceExcellent IT skillsAbility to multitask, use initiative, and work as part of a teamWorking Arrangements
