KS2 Teacher - PRU (Pupil Referral Unit) | Wirral
We are seeking a resilient, compassionate and dedicated KS2 Teacher to join a specialist Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) on the Wirral.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to pupils who need additional support to re-engage with education.
About the Role
You will be working with Key Stage 2 pupils who present with a range of needs, including:
SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health)
Autism (ASC)
Challenging behaviour
The class requires a teacher who can provide structure, consistency and engaging lessons, while building strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver differentiated, engaging lessons
Manage behaviour in a calm, consistent and firm manner
Support pupils'' emotional regulation and development
Build positive relationships to re-engage learners
Work closely with support staff and external agencies
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience within SEND or PRU settings
Strong understanding of SEMH, Autism and behaviour management
Resilient, patient and adaptable approach
Passion for supporting vulnerable pupils
