Whether you''re seeking a permenant role in education, or flexible cover around studies, this is a pathway into education that is full of opportunity for full or part-time work. You do not need prior school experience, teaching qualifications or specialist training. All necessary training is provided free of charge. Driving is beneficial, but not essential. The ideal candidates are confident, friendly, outgoing, and able to build rapport quickly with young people. A degree is desirable, but also not essential. What is the role? As an Unqualified Supply Teacher / Cover Supervisor, you will: • Supervise secondary school classes in the absence of the regular teacher • Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure students complete set work • Maintain a calm, structured and positive classroom environment • Support students to remain engaged and on task • Follow school behaviour policies and established routines You are not expected to teach new material. The focus of the role is strong classroom presence, behaviour management and ensuring continuity of learning.
