I am currently working with a secondary school in the East London area who are seeking a Design Technology Teacher for a short-term cover role. The school is looking for a candidate with relevant teaching experience; however, applications from individuals with strong classroom and workshop management skills will also be considered. Design Technology Teacher East London (Newham) Location: Newham, East London Position: Design Technology Teacher Start date: ASAP Contract type: Temporary (sickness cover) Full time/part time: Full time (term time only) Minimum rate of pay: GBP140GBP170 per day About the School: The school supports a diverse student body and promotes creativity alongside academic achievement. Leadership and teaching were rated Good at the most recent Ofsted inspection. About the Role: This is a short-term sickness cover position expected to last between two and six weeks. You will be delivering pre-planned Design Technology lessons, meaning there is no requirement for planning or marking. The role focuses on maintaining behaviour, ensuring safety in practical environments, and keeping students engaged throughout lessons.
