The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting on behalf of one of our well-established partner schools in Wokingham, which is looking for a passionate and committed Teacher of Psychology or Sociology to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2026.

The Role

You will teach Psychology and/or Sociology across Key Stages 4 and 5 (GCSE and A-Level), delivering engaging, well-planned lessons that inspire curiosity and develop students'' analytical skills. The department is well-resourced, and you will be supported by an experienced Head of Department and a team of specialist teachers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Psychology and/or Sociology

  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress

  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental resources

  • Support the wider school ethos, including extracurricular activities where appropriate



About You

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - ECTs are very welcome to apply

  • Have a relevant degree in Psychology, Sociology, or a related social science

  • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for teaching

  • Be committed to raising attainment and inspiring young people

  • Work well within a team and contribute positively to school life
