Your new companyHays Education is working in partnership with a creative and inclusive secondary school in London to recruit an enthusiastic and talented Teacher of Music. This role would suit both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced practitioners who are passionate about developing students'' musical skills, creativity, and confidence.The successful candidate will deliver engaging Music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to teach GCSE and A-level Music for suitably qualified candidates.Your new roleThe school values the arts highly and has a strong commitment to creative education and enrichment activities. The Music department is well-supported, with access to good facilities and opportunities to contribute to performances, clubs, and whole-school events.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver inspiring Music lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)Teach practical and theoretical elements of the Music curriculumPrepare students for GCSE and A-level assessments where applicableEncourage musical participation through ensembles, performances, and eventsMonitor and support student progress and engagementMaintain high standards of behaviour and safeguard student wellbeing at all timesWhat you''ll need to succeedQualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK or equivalentStrong subject knowledge in Music educationThe ability to inspire creativity and confidence in learnersExperience of classroom and practical music teachingEffective behaviour and classroom ..... full job details .....
