Employment Type: Permanent, Part-time (approximately 50% FTE), will consider full-time for ECTs.

Responsibilities:

• Academic Delivery: Teach Music from Key Stage 3 through to A-Level, with a specific focus on delivering high-quality A-Level Music Technology units.

• Ensemble Leadership: Direct various ensembles across all year groups, utilising expert rehearsal techniques to achieve high-level public performances.

• Curriculum Innovation: Contribute to the evolution of the music curriculum, integrating modern technology with classical foundations to engage a diverse student body.

• Extra-Curricular Advocacy: Lead and expand our existing programme of lunchtime and after-school sessions, ensuring music remains the heartbeat of the school.

• Student Mentorship: Act as a specialist mentor for aspiring musicians, guiding them through practical exams, compositions, and higher education pathways.

Requirements:

• Technical Mastery: Proven experience teaching Music Technology at A-Level is essential. You should be comfortable with industry-standard software and production techniques.

• Qualifications: You hold QTS (or equivalent) and possess a degree-level specialisation in Music or Music Technology.

• Pedagogical Excellence: A track record of delivering engaging Music lessons at KS3, GCSE, and A-Level.
