We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher to join a secondary school in Telford from 2nd November until the Christmas break. The Role

As the successful Maths Teacher, you will deliver engaging and effective mathematics lessons, ensuring students remain motivated and make good progress throughout the placement.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering high-quality Maths lessons across the relevant secondary age groups.

• Assessing students' understanding and adapting teaching to meet a range of abilities.

• Maintaining positive classroom behaviour and creating an inclusive learning environment.

• Monitoring progress, providing constructive feedback and supporting students to achieve their potential.

• Working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain continuity of learning and contribute to the wider school community.

The initial placement will run from Monday 2nd November 2026 until the Christmas break, with a strong possibility that the role will be extended beyond this period, offering the potential for longer-term stability.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

• A degree in Mathematics or a relevant subject.

• Experience teaching Maths within a secondary school setting.

• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly.

• Effective classroom management skills and the ability to engage students of varying abilities.

• A positive, adaptable and professional approach to teaching and learning.

• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
