As a History Teacher, you will inspire students to explore the events, people and movements that have shaped our world, encouraging critical thinking, enquiry and a genuine passion for historical study.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

• Teach History across Key Stages 3 and 4, with Key Stage 5 teaching available for suitably experienced candidates.
• Deliver engaging, well-planned and differentiated lessons that challenge and motivate learners.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students can thrive.
• Monitor and assess progress effectively, providing constructive feedback to support achievement.
• Contribute to curriculum development within the Humanities faculty.
• Support enrichment activities, educational visits and extracurricular opportunities.
• Promote high standards of behaviour, attendance and achievement.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a History specialist who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Has excellent subject knowledge and a passion for History education.
• Demonstrates strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Can engage and inspire students of all abilities and backgrounds.
• Maintains high expectations for both academic achievement and student conduct.
• Is committed to raising attainment and supporting student wellbeing.
• Works collaboratively and contributes positively to the wider school community.
