Clarence Recruitment is working in partnership with a successful and forward-thinking secondary school in Rugby, Warwickshire, seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Teacher of Food Technology to join their thriving Design & Technology department from the new academic term.
This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, developing their practical cooking skills, nutritional knowledge and understanding of healthy lifestyles, while fostering creativity and confidence in the classroom.

The Role
The successful candidate will:
- Deliver engaging and practical Food Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Plan, prepare and assess high-quality learning experiences that inspire students.
- Develop students'' understanding of nutrition, food science and healthy living.
- Monitor, assess and track pupil progress to ensure excellent outcomes.
- Create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Maintain high standards of classroom management and behaviour.
- Contribute positively to the Design & Technology faculty.
- Support enrichment activities and wider school initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and drive continuous improvement.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Have strong subject knowledge in Food Technology.
- Be confident teaching Food Technology across KS3 and KS4.
- Have excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
- Be passionate about practical learning and student achievement.
- Demonstrate a commitment to raising attainment and student engagement.
- Be a proactive and enthusiastic team player.
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
