Overview

Excelsior Academy, part of Laidlaw Schools Trust, are seeking to appoint a Teacher of Computing and Business to start as soon as possible.The ideal candidate will display a passion for Computing and Business, delivering engaging lessons which will enthuse and inspire our pupils. You will be self-motivated, with the ability to bring Computing and Business alive, linking learning to real life. Thus, enabling students to see the relevance of the subject and how they can utilise the skills they develop beyond the classroom.Excelsior Academy was opened in 2008 and became the first All Through school in Newcastle, offering education to pupils from 3 to 19 years of age. Excelsior serves one of the most challenging communities both in the region and nationally. All pupils in our primary, secondary and sixth form provision have access to the same high-quality teaching, exceptional facilities and fabulous resources. Our purpose-built building provides excellent facilities for the 1500+ pupils who study here.Approximately 200 pupils attend our primary school, 1100 in the secondary phase and 180 in the sixth form.
