About the Role: What You''ll Do
As a Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2 Teacher, you''ll be instrumental in shaping young minds. Your responsibilities will include:
Teaching & Learning
- Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and differentiated lessons across the full primary curriculum (English, Maths, Science, and Foundation subjects), ensuring every child''s needs are met.
- Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment where all children feel valued and supported.
- Utilize a range of interactive teaching strategies, including practical activities and technology, to promote active learning and high student engagement.
Assessment & Progress
- Regularly assess and track student progress using various methods to inform your teaching and adapt lesson plans to individual needs.
- Provide constructive, formative feedback and set clear targets to help students achieve their personal and academic goals.
Classroom Management
- Establish clear and consistent rules to promote a positive learning environment.
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies for a productive, respectful, and safe classroom.
- Foster positive relationships with students, supporting their social and emotional development alongside academic progress.
Collaboration & Teamwork
- Work collaboratively with colleagues on cross-curricular activities and share best practices.
- Actively participate in school meetings, training, and planning sessions.
- Maintain open communication with parents and carers regarding student progress and school events.
Personal Development
- Commit to continuous professional development, attending relevant training and staying updated on the latest educational trends and strategies.
What We''re Looking For: Your Skills & Experience
Qualifications
- A recognised UK teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent) is essential.
- ECTs are welcome to apply!
Experience
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2, preferably in a primary school setting.
- A strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 and 2 curriculum, including phonics, early literacy, and numeracy.
- Experience working with children with a range of learning needs, including SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities).
