We are recruiting on behalf of, one of the UK's fastest-growing accountancy and business advisory groups.
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Tax Senior to join their Chelmsford office.
This role is ideal for an ATT Qualified Tax professional, although applications from experienced Qualified by Experience (QBE) candidates will also be considered.
Working within an established tax team, you'll manage your own portfolio of clients, deliver high-quality tax compliance services and provide an excellent level of client care while supporting junior members of the team.
Key Responsibilities of the Tax Senior post:
- Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients, delivering a consistently high standard of service.
- Prepare and review tax returns in accordance with company procedures.
- Ensure work is completed accurately, within agreed deadlines and budget.
- Build strong relationships with clients and act as a trusted point of contact.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant tax legislation and statutory requirements.
- Train, mentor and support junior members of the tax team.
- Represent the firm professionally, both internally and externally.
- Contribute to the continued success of the team by promoting innovation and excellent client service.
What we are looking for as a Tax Senior
To be successful in this role you will ideally have:
- ATT Qualification (preferred), although experienced Qualified by Experience candidates will also be considered.
- Around 3–5 years' experience working within tax, ideally in an accountancy practice.
- Experience managing your own portfolio of clients.
- A broad knowledge of personal tax.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience using tax software and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A commercial mindset with the ability to understand client needs and deliver practical solutions.
- The ability to prioritise workloads and work effectively within a busy practice environment.
