locations: Scotland (Glasgow and Edinburgh), North (Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle), Midlands (Birmingham), South (Reading and Bristol).KPMG''s Global Mobility Service (GMS) practice is a diverse and fast-growing area of our Tax business. We serve some of the biggest names, with high-profile engagements touching every corner of the world. Our GMS engagement teams are "360 degree service oriented", with tax technical, client development and client-facing responsibilities as part of each successful Senior Manager''s remit. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a confident, outward-facing skillset, and who is willing to invest time and energy in the marketplace. We are looking for remarkable candidates, ready for early assumption of responsibilities and close, regular contact with our dynamic partner group.Role and ResponsibilitiesInvolvement with a wide range of clients with exposure to a variety of interesting and exciting work and projectsManage the UK service delivery and/or the day-to-day global coordination of client engagements (dependent on the client portfolio), supported by a junior engagement teamBuild, maintain and lead strong relationships with clientsBeing the day-to-day contact for allocated clientsReview of complex tax returns, and preparation/review tax technical projectsConduct VIP arrival/departure briefingsLead client service teams, helping ensure they function smoothly and effectivelyPreparation of written advice for clients, and helping to advise clients on GMS issuesLeadership of advisory projects carried out for clientsEnsuring clients are provided with up-to-date information on relevant marketplace developmentsLeading in business development/proposalsManaging and coaching more junior staffQualifications and SkillsATT/CTA qualified or equivalent professional qualification preferred but not mandatoryExperience and BackgroundExperience with UK technical expatriate tax background, including tax briefings, tax returns and advisoryExperience of managing global assignee populations and experience of immigration, social security, and compensation accumulation for different countriesUnderstands how to effectively manage a busy portfolio of GMS clients and deliver sound and technically accurate adviceEnergetic, committed, and ambitiousHigh level personal responsibility and accountability for own and the team''s workCapacity to receive and deliver positive, constructive feedbackAnalytical; identifies core issues, investigates, evaluates, and integrates informationStrong financial managementCommunicates with impact, both in speech and writing, and in a way that is open, honest, consistent, and clearSafeguards and enhances the reputation of KPMG through the quality of work, knowledge, and experienceMotivated by a passion for the international aspects of our work, professional proficiency, and a desire to serve and lead excellent global service teamsExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Flexible, positive outlook, with a commitment to team working, acting as a role model to other team membersExcellent organisational skills and ability to work under own initiativeCapable of working to deadlines, both for self and leading a team, showing resilience under pressure and ability to apply knowledge to non-routine situationsYou should be able to demonstrate sound professional judgement including the ability to identify issues/concerns and consult where appropriate with more senior ..... full job details .....
