Tax Manager

An established and growing accountancy practice is looking to appoint a Tax Manager to its Nottingham office. The firm advises a broad range of owner-managed businesses and private clients, providing a combination of compliance and higher-level tax advisory services. This is a key appointment with responsibility for managing the tax function within the office. You will oversee the delivery and review of tax work, support colleagues on technical matters and act as a main point of contact for clients. Alongside the day to day tax work, there is significant scope to become involved in more complex advisory projects across multiple offices. Responsibilities Manage the tax function for the office, ensuring work is completed accurately and to appropriate deadlines. Review tax compliance work and provide technical guidance to colleagues where required. Build and maintain effective relationships with a varied portfolio of business and private clients. Assist with a growing pipeline of corporate and personal tax advisory assignments. Support projects including business reorganisations and demergers, share schemes and company disposals. Assist with family investment company structures and inheritance tax planning. Work closely with senior tax specialists and partners on technically complex assignments. Provide tax advisory support to clients and colleagues across other regional offices. Identify tax planning opportunities arising from ongoing client relationships.
