This is a chance to step into a genuinely influential in-house tax role with real ownership and visibility across the group. You''ll be joining a UK market leader in managing hard to handle waste, operating complex and highly regulated sites nationwide. With growth plans well underway, the finance team is being strengthened with the hire of a Tax Manager to take ownership of tax across the group. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will be the go-to contact for all tax matters, working closely with finance, commercial teams, external advisers and HMRC. A key part of the role is acting as the internal expert on Landfill Tax, supporting commercial decision making and ensuring compliance across the business. Your responsibilities will include: Managing and submitting Landfill Tax, Corporation Tax, VAT and PAYE returnsOwning tax reporting, forecasting and balance sheet reconciliationsProviding guidance and training to the business on Landfill Tax treatment and riskLeading audits, HMRC enquiries and relationships with external tax advisersManaging tax accounting, including deferred taxReviewing processes, audit trails and maintaining the tax risk register This role would suit an up-and-coming Tax Manager who is ready to step into a broader and more visible in-house position within a commercial environment. ..... full job details .....
