Tax Disputes Lawyer - Manager

PwC has one of the UK''s largest, market-leading teams of lawyers specialising in helping clients resolve and prevent disputes with tax authorities. Our tax lawyers engage in the full spectrum of tax dispute resolution work, including advising clients on dispute prevention, assisting with tax authority enquiries, and conducting litigation in tax tribunals and courts.

This role is for a tax lawyer with experience in UK tax disputes to join our specialist legal team. The successful candidate will focus on assisting corporate clients with direct tax disputes with HMRC.

Our tax disputes legal team is a key part of PwC''s wider tax practice, one of the largest and most successful in the UK. What your days will look like:

Take ownership of tax dispute resolution projects, including preparing written advice and advocacy, managing tax litigation, and collaborating with stakeholders such as clients, PwC team members, HMRC, external counsel, and tribunals.

Engage in business development activities internally and with clients.

Develop your expertise in tax dispute resolution and tax administration frameworks.

Contribute to the team''s adoption of technology and innovative delivery models.

Share knowledge within the team and at client events.

This role is for you if:

You have experience in UK tax disputes, including HMRC enquiries and litigation.

You possess strong technical skills in taxation, especially in UK tax administration and direct tax topics.

You can quickly assess large volumes of evidence and learn new areas of law.

You demonstrate self-leadership in a dynamic environment.

You are motivated and proactive in seeking new opportunities for the team.

You have experience handling complex, sensitive scenarios with professionalism and impact.
