Tax Assistant / Tax TraineeSalary: £25,000 - £27,000 (depending on experience)Location: NewportJob Type: Full-time, PermanentAbout the Role:We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tax Assistant / Tax Trainee to join a growing tax team for an Accountancy Practice in Newport. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with some prior experience in a tax or accountancy role who is looking to further develop their career in taxation.A great opportunity for candidates working towards professional qualifications such as ATT or CTA with study support available. Key Responsibilities:Preparation of personal tax returns (Self Assessment) for a varied client portfolioAssisting with corporation tax computations and returnsSupporting senior team members with tax compliance across multiple tax areasLiaising with HMRC on routine queries and correspondenceMaintaining accurate client records and working papersAssisting with basic tax planning work as experience developsMeeting deadlines while ensuring compliance with internal procedures and professional standardsDelivering a professional and responsive service to clientsExperience Required: Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracyGood organisational and time management skillsConfident using IT systems, including Microsoft Excel and WordClear written and verbal communication skillsA proactive attitude and willingness to learnAccountancy practice experience/ studying towards ATT or CTA What We Offer:Study support package for ..... full job details .....
