Tax Assistant

Location: CardiffSalary: Competitive Depending on ExperienceAre you looking to develop your career within tax and join a successful, supportive accountancy practice?You will be joining an established tax team, supporting a varied portfolio of clients and gaining hands-on experience across a broad range of tax compliance work. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with at least 1 year of UK accountancy practice experience who is keen to build their technical knowledge and progress within tax.You will be:Preparing self-assessment and corporation tax returnsAssisting with the preparation and submission of tax returnsLiaising with clients and HMRC to obtain information and resolve queriesSupporting the management of a portfolio of clientsReviewing and processing client informationPreparing client and HMRC correspondenceAssisting with client registrations and general tax administrationEnsuring statutory deadlines are metKeeping up to date with changes in tax legislationYou will have:At least 1 year of experience within a UK accountancy practiceSome previous exposure to tax workA genuine interest in developing a long-term career in taxExcellent attention to detail and organisational skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsThe ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise workloadA proactive, professional and team-focused approachGood IT skills, including Microsoft Office and ExcelBenefits:Fully funded ATT / CTA study supportClear career progression ..... full job details .....
