Tax accountant

We’re on the hunt for a Tax accountant who’s ready to take on a broad mix of tax work, provide expert advice to a diverse client base and help guide the next generation of tax specialists
If you’ve got solid experience in personal and corporate tax, love building relationships and enjoy tackling tax issues, this could be just the role for you. You’ll work closely with senior leaders as a hands-on manager and trusted advisor, making sure clients get the very best service.
The ideal candidate would have strong tax compliance and advisory experience in practice, a solid understanding of personal and corporate tax law and HMRC processes, confidence in handling complex tax matters and representing clients, and an organised, proactive and positive approach to communication.
Salary: £39,000–£49,000 DOE
Hours: 28–35 per week, with flexible start and finish times
Location: Flexible/Remote working available but must be within a two hours commute from Perth
What you’ll do:
- Review and oversee tax returns across personal, corporate and partnership cases
- Making sure deadlines and payments are met
- Offer planning advice to help clients save money and access reliefs
- Handle big, complex projects like reorganisations, mergers and international tax
- Be the go to contact for tax authority questions and investigations
- Support, mentor and grow the skills of junior staff
