T&I Manager required for a major Offshore Wind Developer based in Germany.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement method statements, risk assessments, and technical documentation for sea fastening systems, lifting equipment, and marine operations.
- Oversee the design and engineering of sea fastening frames and ancillary equipment to meet project-specific requirements.
- Act as the primary liaison for marine warranty surveyors, installation vessel suppliers, and external stakeholders to align technical requirements and resolve issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, procurement, operations) to ensure technical feasibility and compliance with client specifications.
- Ensure adherence to international standards (e.g., DNV-GL, IEC) and client-specific requirements for offshore installations.
- Manage third-party inspections and certifications for critical equipment and procedures.
- Support the Execution Manager in planning and executing offshore projects, focusing on risk mitigation, timeline optimization, and budget control.
- Drive continuous improvement in technical workflows, digital tools, and data-driven decision-making.
- Partner with R&D teams to innovate solutions for complex marine challenges (e.g., harsh environments, large-scale turbine installations).
- Promote sustainability practices in offshore operations (e.g., material efficiency, emissions reduction).
Requirements
- Bachelor''s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering, Marine Technology, or related field.
- 8+ years in technical/inspection roles for offshore wind or marine projects, preferably in a global OEM or EPC environment.
- Proven track record leading multidisciplinary teams and managing vendor/supplier relationships.
- Expertise in sea fastening design, load calculations, and marine operations.
- Familiarity with certification processes (DNV-GL, ABS) and risk management frameworks.
