This is a rare opportunity for an experienced lawyer to step away from the traditional path and take on a role that’s embedded right at the heart of one of the firm’s busiest and most high-performing departments.You’ll work directly with partners, associates, and trainees to manage workflow, career development, performance, training, and resourcing. Think of it as a hybrid of HR business partnering and team leadership — perfect for someone with emotional intelligence, commercial awareness, and a genuine interest in people.Why this role?You’ll be central to how the Corporate group functions, balancing the needs of the business with the development goals of its lawyers.You’ll shape resourcing, advise on progression, oversee performance reviews, and work on training and wellbeing initiatives.You’ll collaborate with senior stakeholders, influence decision-making, and be trusted to handle complex, people-driven issues with authority and empathy.

Responsibilities

Manage workflow, career development, performance, training, and resourcing for the Corporate group in London.Balance business needs with development goals of lawyers; shape resourcing and progression pathways.Oversee performance reviews, training initiatives, and wellbeing programs.Collaborate with senior stakeholders; influence decision-making on people matters; handle complex, people-driven issues with tact and empathy.

Qualifications

A qualified lawyer (5+ PQE) with experience in a Corporate or transactional team.Ability to hold their own with senior partners and calmly manage difficult conversations.Proactive, strategic, and invested in mentoring, development, and the human side of law.Experience in a fast-paced, international firm is ideal and helps understand the environment’s demands.
