Systems Support Engineer - Basingstoke - SC/DV Cleared

IT Services client is hiring for a 3rd Line Systems Support Engineer with strong Solaris expertise. This is a permanent role based full-time on site in Basingstoke. Salary is between -50K - -55K + Bonus + Benefits.

You will be responsible for incident management, problem resolution, and continuous service improvement, working to strict SLAs and security protocols.

Responsibilities include:
* Managing and resolving 3rd line incidents, ensuring SLA adherence.
* Delivering system training for new staff and contractors.
* Investigating complex problems and escalating when required.
* Performing regular backups of live and reference platforms.
* Implementing ad-hoc requests and driving continuous service improvements.

Skills and Experience:
* Advanced knowledge of Solaris 10, UNIX / HP-UX, and Oracle 8-10g.
* Strong understanding of networking principles such as DNS and DHCP.
* Experience with PowerShell, Perl scripting, and VMWare v5/5.5.
* Microsoft Server (2003/2008R2/2012R2), Windows 7, Active Directory, and Exchange
2003.
