Systems Safety Engineer

Our client, a prominent player in the Defence and Security and Aerospace sectors, is currently seeking a Systems Safety Engineer for a 6-month contract position based in Brighton. You will be required to work onsite 4 days per week for this role.Skills and Experience:EssentialExperience working within complex engineering systems (aerospace, defence, or high-integrity industries).Understanding of systems engineering principles and lifecycle management.Some experience or exposure to system safety engineering.Experience managing technical documentation and requirements.Ability to work within multi-disciplinary engineering teams.DesirableExperience with safety standards such as ARP4754, ARP4761, MIL-STD-882, and Def Stan 00-056.Experience with requirements management.Experience contributing to hazard analyses (FMEA, FTA, FHA).Understanding of reliability analyses.Knowledge of Reliasoft software tools.Aerospace or defence programme experience.Safety Engineering:Support the development of system safety artefacts in accordance with aerospace and defence standards.Assist in performing hazard identification and analysis activities.Contribute to safety assessments such as Functional Hazard Assessments (FHA), Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA).Support the development and maintenance of Hazard Logs.Ensure safety requirements are captured, allocated, and verified within the system design.Managing the Quarterly ..... full job details .....
