Systems Engineer

YT Tech is partnering with defence organisation looking for a system engineer on a permanent basis. On behalf of this company, we are seeking a flexible, enthusiastic, and highly experienced Systems Engineer to join their dynamic RandD team. This is a hands-on design and technical leadership role where you will take complete ownership of system designs, guiding products from initial concept through to manufacture and through-life support. Key Responsibilities As a Systems Engineer, your blend of hands-on technical skill and engineering management will see you: System Design and Integration: Participate in the full development, integration, verification, and validation of advanced engineering projects. Requirements and Specifications: Produce comprehensive requirement specifications in line with customer and product goals. Testing and Diagnostics: Formulate and execute test strategies, plans, and procedures; evaluate prototypes and handle fault-finding and resolution. Cross-Functional Leadership: Provide technical oversight and collaborate closely with a multi-disciplinary internal team (Software, RF, PCB Layout, Mechanical) and external partners. Mentorship: Act as a technical mentor to less experienced engineers as the team continues to grow. Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate with suppliers, manage in-house/external production, and engage with clients to elicit requirements and provide technical support.
