Systems EngineerCanterburyFull-timeWe are recruiting for a Systems Engineer to lead systems engineering and analysis across new and existing product developments. This role offers involvement across the full product lifecycle, from concept through to end-of-life, working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams as well as wider business functions.You will play a key role in supporting new business opportunities, contributing to technical proposals, and ensuring robust system design within complex engineering environments.Key Responsibilities:Analyse, capture, and develop system specificationsSupport sales and business development with technical input and proposalsContribute to new product introduction, including risk identification and mitigation (FMEA)Work collaboratively with mechanical, software, and product teamsLiaise with customers, suppliers, and external stakeholdersStay up to date with systems engineering methods and implement effective solutionsRequirements:Degree in Systems Engineering, Physics, Electronics, or similarExperience within systems engineering, electro-optics, or electro-mechanical environmentsBackground in defence, maritime, or high RF environments is highly beneficialExperience with FMEA and systems analysis tools (e.g. MATLAB, Python, C#)Strong mathematical and analytical capabilityKnowledge of embedded C/C++ is advantageousDesirable Knowledge:EMC and defence-related standards (MIL-STD, DEF-STAN)Control theory, servo systems, and control ..... full job details .....
