Our client, a leader in the financial services technology sector, is currently seeking a Systems Architect to join their team on a contract basis. This role is critical in designing and implementing robust system architectures that support business objectives, particularly in payments and issuing domains, and drive technological advancement across the organisation.

• Design scalable and efficient system architectures that meet business and regulatory requirements within the financial services landscape

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyse complex technical and business requirements, with a focus on payment processing and card issuing systems

• Develop comprehensive architectural plans and high-quality documentation

• Oversee integration of software and hardware components across secure environments

• Ensure system security and compliance with financial services industry standards and regulations

• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to cross-functional development teams

• Conduct regular system performance assessments and drive optimisation initiatives

• Stay abreast of emerging technologies, particularly within the financial technology space

• Proven experience in systems architecture within the financial services sector

• Strong background in payments and/or issuing platforms is essential

• Deep understanding of system design principles and architectural methodologies

• Experience in developing architectural documentation and roadmaps

• Knowledge of software/hardware integration and enterprise systems

• Familiarity with security protocols, compliance standards, and risk management in financial environments

• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms is highly desirable

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
