Systems Accountant

We are looking for a talented and aspiring Systems Accountant to join our highly motivated and passionate finance team in Manchester.About the role:This is an exciting opportunity to progress your career in this newly created role within a vibrant and progressive employee-owned consultancy. The role will allow you to make a real difference to our systems, processes and the management of data. We have a friendly team environment where you will be given the encouragement and tools to grow and progress.In this role you will:Ensure that our project management system Rapport3 works efficiently and effectively, providing a robust and value adding system to the business, to support both fee earners and financial reportingEnsure the continuous improvement of the system and associated reporting through the management and testing of developments and changesBecome a system “super user” and go-to person for queries and questions whilst also providing training so that the system can be used to maximum potentialEnsure that all relevant parties are involved in requests for developments so that we are continually adding value and ensuring best practice throughout the businessSuccessfully implement a replacement financial system for Access DimensionsEnsure processes and procedures are adequately recorded, tested and updatedThe ideal candidate will have:A recognised accountancy qualification (CIMA or ACCA) and will have experience in a similar role, ideally within a consultancy environment and be familiar with project managementA flexible ‘can do’ attitude and will ideally have previous experience working across a finance function as systems ‘superuser’The ability to communicate effectively with non-finance professionals, the ability to work on your own initiative and apply sound judgement are also key skillsExceptional stakeholder engagement skills that cover a wide range of experiencesAbility to learn quickly and to develop relationships whilst working within a highly professional teamPrevious people management experience would be an advantage"Turley is a great company to work for, I have always had the help and encouragement to develop my skills and knowledge, and the team are fantastic to work with."The typical salary range for this role sits between £55,000 - £65,000 per annum.This is a permanent position, but we are open to considering a fixed term working arrangement, if preferred.Why work for Turley?We are trusted independent advisors with restless ambition to shape a more sustainable future.We work collaboratively with our clients to deliver successful places and communities that thrive.
