Our client is seeking a

Systems Accountant

to play a pivotal role in managing and optimising their financial systems. This position will be central to the implementation of a new finance system, ensuring seamless integration, compliance with accounting standards, and driving financial excellence across the organisation.Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and optimisation of financial systems to meet evolving business needs.Oversee the implementation of a new financial system, ensuring smooth integration and user adoption.Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate system efficiency and effectiveness.Streamline and automate accounting processes to improve accuracy and reduce errors.Identify and mitigate risks related to system changes, ensuring data security and compliance.Collaborate with internal and external auditors to maintain high-quality financial records.Deliver insightful reporting and analysis to support decision-making at Executive level.Work closely with stakeholders, including software providers and public sector bodies, to enhance financial processes and resilience.Skills and Experience

A recognised professional accounting qualification (CCAB or equivalent).Strong expertise in financial systems, including integration and optimisation of advanced financial technologies.Proven experience in planning and delivering financial systems development projects.Ability to make autonomous, well-informed decisions on system enhancements and innovations.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex financial and system challenges.Experience in risk assessment, project management, and compliance with financial regulations.Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills with senior stakeholders.Strong collaboration skills, with experience working across multi-disciplinary teams.Exceptional written and oral communication skills.Seniority level
