KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Your duties as the Synthetic Chemist will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows: 1. Conduct practical, lab-based RandD to support both existing and new product development programmes. 2. Design and develop synthetic routes to novel surface-treatment chemistries, including synthesis, isolation, purification, and characterisation. 3. Optimise reaction conditions to enhance yield, selectivity, reproducibility, and scalability. 4. Evaluate and interpret experimental results to guide further development and identify new opportunities. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Synthetic Chemist, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history: 1. Advanced degree (MSc/PhD) in Chemistry with proven industry experience. 2. Practical experience in organic synthesis or wet chemistry. 3. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. 4. Excellent organisational and communication skills, both written and spoken.
