DUTIES: Build and assemble LV switchgear following engineering drawings and busbar layouts. Fit and secure electrical components such isolators, changeover switches, metering devices, surge protection devices and busbar systems. Install and torque busbars, copper work, and interconnections to specified torque values and manufacturer standards Carry out mechanical assembly including mounting plates, backplates, cable trunking, and enclosure frameworks. REQUIREMENTS: Proven experience building LV switchgear, power distribution assemblies, or electrical distribution boards. Good understanding of LV electrical distribution components and protective devices. Ability to interpret single line diagrams, wiring schematics and busbar drawings. Competent in handling and torquing busbars, cable terminations and power assemblies.
