SUSE Linux Engineer x 2 Job DescriptionOur client are looking to onboard 2 x Linux Engineers with strong experience in SUSE/SLES Linux. You will be working in a complex SUSE Linux and Open Enterprise Server environment, engaging with users, technical colleagues and senior management to clarify data ownership, streamline access, and reduce the Legacy estate. The position initially concentrates on discovery, analysis and planning, followed by phased migration delivery and ongoing contribution to wider file services activities. This will require 2 days per week in the London office, 6 month initial contract with 18 months or work available as a minimum and will be INSIDE IR35.Essential SkillsStrong Linux engineering and Linux administration experience, including confident use of the command line, file systems, permissions, storage, logs, automation and Scripting.Demonstrable ability to investigate complex technical environments and learn platform-specific behaviours, particularly in SUSE Linux and related file services.Proven capability to collect, analyse and organise technical information using Shell Scripting or similar tools to support repeatable investigation and reporting.Clear and confident communication skills, enabling effective interaction with users, technical teams and senior management.Structured and methodical approach to investigation and problem-solving, with a strong focus on accuracy and completeness of documentation.Ability to work independently while ..... full job details .....
