In this role, you ll be out and about inspecting homes, assessing conditions, spotting issues before they become problems, and putting together detailed, professional reports that clients can actually understand and act on. There ll be a limited amount of valuation work in the mix too.You ll be the expert on-site, liaising with clients, stakeholders, and fellow property pros, so strong communication skills are key. Ideally, you ll bring the following to the table:Solid experience carrying out residential property surveys and assessmentsA sound understanding of building construction, current regulations, and safety standardsSharp analytical thinking and a knack for problem-solving on the flyTop-notch written and verbal communication clarity is key when you''re translating property jargon for clientsComfortable working solo and managing your own time while out in the fieldConfident using surveying tools and modern software (no dusty clipboards here)High attention to detail you spot the cracks others missRICS and/or VRS accredited (non-negotiable, we need the real deal)A valid UK driving licence you ll be on the move, after all.
