BRC are working closely with a housing provider to recruit a skilled and experienced Surveyor.
  
This role involves supporting the Planned Programme by managing large contracts to deliver high-quality investments and improvements across housing stock, ensuring all assets meet agreed standards and regulatory requirements.
  
Duties:

  • Lead and manage contracts and programmes for component replacement and improvements, ensuring compliance with Decent Homes standards.
  • Oversee large-scale, multi-year projects, controlling budgets and ensuring high quality, customer satisfaction, and statutory compliance.
  • Act as Contract Manager/Client Representative on delivery contracts, fostering strong working relationships.
  • Inspect contractor work, review costs and performance, and drive improvements.
  • Manage financial accounting functions for capital and service budgets, including forecasting and reporting.
  • Ensure all properties meet statutory health and safety requirements.
  • Support procurement of contractors in line with best value and procurement strategy.
  • Contribute to the Annual Investment Programme and asset management strategy.
  • Maintain accurate property and asset data.
  • Produce performance reports and make recommendations to improve procurement and service delivery.
  
Requirements:
  • Substantial experience in Asset Management, Property Investment, and Public Procurement at surveyor level.
  • Relevant technical qualification (e.g., CIOB, RICS, or CIH membership).
  • Proven experience managing £1m+ planned improvement projects.
  • Strong project management, financial management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to varied audiences.
  • Flexible approach and ability to work independently and to tight timescales.
