In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for operating and supporting the use of asphalt paving machinery, working as part of a skilled surfacing crew to lay and finish asphalt safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.The role involves working outdoors on a variety of road surfacing and highway maintenance projects, travelling to sites across the region, and collaborating closely with colleagues to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to the required quality standards. Nightshift working is a key requirement of this position.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with the laying, raking, levelling, and finishing of asphalt materialsSupport the operation of surfacing plant, tools, and equipmentCarry out site preparation and general labouring duties before, during, and after surfacing worksWork closely with the Foreperson and wider surfacing squad to complete projects safely and efficientlyConduct routine checks and basic ..... full job details .....
